It feels like Thursday doesn’t it? You can smell Friday right around the corner. Thinking about your weekend plans…it basically starts tonight right? Or lunch today? We’ll be Uptown (NOTE we are in the same parking lot, just south about 18 steps) and at Innovation Park today for lunch, and enjoying an exciting night at Birdsong Brewing later. They’ve got the fun #instabeerupclt event going on, AND they’re releasing a hoppy wheat beer called “Fake Plastic Trees”. We’re looking forward to seeing you! And feeding your hungry self of course.

Taco O’Clock

Hey hey! Since we couldn’t park uptown last week, I know you’ve been having taco withdrawals, so we’re here to save you! Lots of goodness on the menu today.

Today is a brand new day with new beginnings! We will no longer be at the Atherton Market (see previous post for details) but we will be serving up our delicious breakfast at the Wedgewood Farmers Market (4800 Wedgewood Dr) so we would love to see you there! Here’s what’s cooking…

A message from Craig

I have good news and bad news.  It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell everyone that we will no longer serve breakfast at the Atherton Mill Farmer’s Market.  After 4 years of commitment to the market, I received an e-mail from the market manager saying that we would no longer be needed at the there.   The motives for this decision still remain unclear, only that our attendance at the market was not consistent enough; though every single day that was not raining and the truck was not broken we were there.  We have been a part of the market since we opened our doors in 2011, and we stuck by the market when it was slow. We did not go to the market to make money, we would go to the market to support the vendors, support local food, and of course to see all the smiling faces of our Saturday morning regulars.  There is no sense in dwelling and I could lament on the matter for 2 pages, so I will get to the good, no …GREAT news!  We will be a part of a new market every Saturday at the corner of Wedgewood and Tyvola at Wedgewood Church.  The market will be small, however there are beautiful oak trees to sit under and have your breakfast.  We will be there the same time that we were normally at Atherton 9:00am-12:00pm.  Please come see us and support our new location, for many of you it is actually right in your neighborhood!  Stop and grab some breakfast on your way to Yorkmont Farmer’s Market or to Atherton Mill Farmer’s Market. The number 1 rule of shopping for food is to never shop hungry!   The address is:

Did you know it’s Mr. T’s birthday? Good thing I listen to quality radio on the way to work that keeps me informed of these important details of the day. (Another important detail is that we will NOT be in the Duke building tomorrow. Sorry if I got your hopes up!)

We’ve got a full day ahead of us folks! Lunch at Innovation Park (7201 Hewitt Associates Dr) and then tonight we will be at BOTH Birdsong and Sycamore from 5p-9p. Birdsong will be releasing their small batch called “Susie Q”, a smoked IPA. And there will be live music going on at Sycamore. So be sure to hit one of them up…or both. Don’t be a fool or we may pity you.

Things are a bit different this week. So let me fill you in on our whereabouts for the next few days. (Side note: we missed you at Taco Day today! Our lot was closed due to speed street.)

We will be at Sycamore Brewing tonight.

Tomorrow we’ll be serving lunch at Innovation Park (university area) and then dinner at Birdsong AND Sycamore (live music…whaaa).

Friday we’ll be inside the Duke building (4th floor) for lunch and back to Sycamore for dinner.
