Taco Day is finally here!

Fact. If you work in uptown Charlotte, you’ve probably visited our food truck at least once. I know many of you frequent the truck on Wed and Thurs and we truly appreciate your support! If you haven’t made it out to a Taco Wednesday yet (*gasp!), know that you are invited to make it a part of your weekly lunch routine and you won’t regret it. And remember, if you have a gluten-free diet we will gladly serve your tacos over greens instead of in tortillas.

Need something fun to scroll through on your work break…or during that dull meeting…? Check out our friend Stephanie Haviv’s blog. She spent some time with our food truck and takes amazing photos!

For today’s menu we have so many great local ingredients to work with that Kyle and Craig could not decide what to make, so they both went home and came up with separate ideas, then came back to work and mashed them together. We can only take half of the credit for this menu, the other half goes to the farmers. We have to do less cooking when the ingredients are this good.

Bev it up!

It’s National Beverage Day! Just wanted to keep you in the know, so you have some small talk content while hydrating at the water cooler at work. Or you can talk about how it’s Taco Day uptown and discuss what tacos you’re going to savor today. Did you know you can get your tacos served over greens instead of in tortillas? Just ask!

Another important piece of knowledge is that we’ll also be in our Uptown spot tomorrow! Innovation Park will be happening too. AND Birdsong Brewing for supper time. Stay tuned for those menus later on. And we’d be thrilled to see your face today…and tomorrow.

A gillfriend.

What do you call a fish that won’t shut up?

A big-mouthed bass!

There are so many fish jokes! I will stop at 2. There’s also a good Dumb and Dumber quote about bass, but I’ll leave it at that. You already know it.

Who else is excited about grabbing some tacos from the food truck and eating outside today? We will be uptown across from the Duke building, at Tryon and Levine Ave of the Arts. Check out the menu below and you’ll start getting hungry.

That’s so fetch.

Is Taco Day your favorite day of the week or is it just me? People (myself included) often have a hard time choosing which tacos they want, so I just get one of each. As should you if you tend to like the appetizer sampler. I asked the chefs what was the greatest number of tacos they had in one shift. Someone claimed 21. Like woah.

Speaking of our chefs…and other staff for that matter… In looking at our website stats, someone actually searched “who works on the roots food truck”. Lucky for you, stalker, we have a whole page that helps ya out with that! I’m just giving you a hard time. I too would want to know who makes my delicious tacos every week.
